These are the rules for using Sunwick. Please read them. Tapping "I agree" means you accept them.

What this is

Sunwick helps golfers run leagues, one-off rounds and scrambles: keeping scores, standings and a league chat.

You must be at least 13 years old to use it.

Your account

You sign in with your email and a code we send you. Keep your inbox secure: anyone who can read it can sign in as you.

Use your real name or a name your league knows you by. Do not pretend to be someone else.

What you put in the app

You keep ownership of what you write and enter (names, scores, handicaps, messages). You let us store it and show it to the people you play with inside the app, because that is how the app works.

Members of a league can see each other's names, scores, handicaps and chat messages. A public watch link shows scores only, never handicaps.

How to behave: no tolerance for abuse

There is no place here for objectionable content or abusive people. Do not post anything that is harassing, bullying, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, violent, illegal, or spam. Do not impersonate others or share other people's private information.

Keep scores honest. Do not enter scores for someone without their knowledge or tamper with a league's results.

Reporting, blocking and removal

Any message can be reported from the options next to it. You can block a person so you no longer see their messages. League organizers can remove messages and remove members from their league.

We review reports and may remove content or close accounts that break these rules, without warning. If someone is in danger, contact local emergency services first.

League organizers

Each league is run by its organizers, who decide who joins, how points work and how disputes are settled. Sunwick does not run your league and is not responsible for disagreements between members.

Sunwick does not handle money, entry fees, prizes or wagers. Sort those out yourselves, and do not use the app to run illegal gambling.

Scores, handicaps and course information

Handicap numbers in the app are worked out from the course rating, slope and the Handicap Index you or your organizer enter. They are for friendly play and are not an official handicap record from any golf association. Check with your club for official handicaps.

Course details come from outside sources and can be wrong or out of date. Check them against the real scorecard.

Your information

We collect what you give us: your email, your display name, the leagues you join, your scores and handicaps, and your chat messages. If you turn on notifications, we also keep a code for your phone so we can send them. We use this only to run the app. We do not sell it.

Notifications pass through Apple, Google and Expo's notification service on their way to your phone. They contain the league name, the sender's name and the start of the message.

You can delete your account in the Account screen. Your name is then replaced with "Deleted user" for everyone else. Scores and messages you posted stay in the league's record, with that name.

Ending your use

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

No promises, and limits

Sunwick is provided "as is", without promises that it will always work or be free of mistakes. Keep your own copy of anything that matters.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost scores, missed notifications, or indirect losses from using the app.

Apple and Google

These terms are between you and Sunwick, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google have no duty to provide support for the app and are not responsible for claims about it. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, the app asks you to read and agree again before you keep using it.
